CPNA Minutes for August 6, 2025

Financial Report
Chris sent the report via email. Current net assets are: $9,352.53
Notes:
We gained 10 new paid memberships since the recent dues letter was distributed
One neighbor donated $100
Bi-annual “Business Entity Report" submitted to the state, with a filing fee of $22.50
We still have a handful of historic plaques for those homes that are within the district
Old Business and Updates
Membership letters were sent resulting in new paid memberships included in the financial report.
Discussed the letter from Jim Chalos. He and the mayor want to schedule a meeting with the CPNA. Possibly at the next meeting in September.
The committee charged with modifying the historic district ordinance is at work. Changes in the ordinance is a work in progress. Discussion followed.
There is also an upcoming city-wide ordinance strengthening code enforcement.
Joe asked the question if more defined roles are appropriate for the CPNA board members. Jimmie mentioned that a similar process is used by the 12 Points. We need to review the by-laws for any issues. Joe listed some possibilities titles for different roles. He will provide a list of roles and descriptions for discussion at the next meeting.
Joe showed a draft of the updated CPNA webpage. collettpark.org It is password protected for now until the page is fully operational. The site includes a store for Collett Park merchandise and links to other information about the park and events.
Glow Ride bike ride for the neighborhood is scheduled for Friday August 8 with a meeting at 8:00pm at the pavilion. Rachel has worked through with the insurance company for liability coverage.
School drive materials were dropped off in conjunction with the 12 Points library.
